The GRV formally known as AP and the Groove, is an explosively energetic tandem of male and female vocals, ignited by a powder keg of instrumentalists.
Dapper and Classy meet Urban and Sassy at every intersection of the dance floor. The GRV is a Boston, Massachusetts, USA based band that is internationally known for their high energy performances and powerhouse vocals.
With humble and happy origins performing in Boston's World Famous Seaport District, The GRV has been captivating patrons from Ocean Prime to Aloft, always providing the most memorable, fun soaked, party atmospheres.
Since its inception Jan 2019, The GRV has transformed into an activating, and prominent 8 piece band with an arresting presence - Hip Hop, R&B, Rock and Roll, Soul to Soul, we'll keep the GRV steady all night long. We cover Corporate, Community, Private or Club Events so for every occasion, we are...your GRV.

Apollo “AP” Payton
Born and raised in New England, Apollo is a former Berklee College Of Music student. His passion & love for music started as a child, watching his father write, produce and perform all over Boston. Apollo studied voice, majored in Contemporary Writing & Production while at Berklee, and has had the privilege of performing all around the country, including the White House and Europe.
Canitra “CW” Wynn
Canitra Wynn is a 3rd generation vocalist, born in Chapel Hill, NC and raised in Boston, MA. With a foundation in Gospel, R&B/Soul, Hip Hop and Neo-Soul, Canitra utilizes her wide vocal range and high energy to excite audiences on stages all around the world. She has graced audiences from the legendary Apollo Theater Live TV Show in Harlem, NY, to the posh elites of Remy de Provence in the South of France.
